Obituary

FRAZEYSBURG – Edith E. Fairall, 84, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Thursday morning, December 15, 2011 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital from complications following surgery earlier in the week.
Born July 11, 1927 in Pike Township of Coshocton County she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Nellie (Robinson) Ramsey and was a 1944 graduate of Union High School. She later received her Bachelor's degree in education from Kent State University. Mrs. Fairall retired in 1995 from Riverview Schools where she was an elementary teacher for many years at Union School. She was a member of Frazeysburg Presbyterian Church, Retired Teachers Association of Coshocton County and the Coshocton County Farm Bureau; Frazeysburg 50 Club, The Card Club, Ohio Shorthorn Association and Eastern Ohio Shorthorn Association and was a Coshocton County Republican Central Committeeman. She enjoy flower gardening, attending Riverview sporting events, cattle shows and she was active in many other community activities. But most of all Edith loved her family and received her most enjoyment at family get-togethers.
Surviving are two daughters and sons in-law, Becki and Les Herd of Utica, Ohio and Kathy and Garry Wolford of Frazeysburg; a son and daughter in-law, Jerry and Peggy Fairall of Cincinnati, Ohio; four grandchildren, Shelli (Wes) Miller, Lisa (Dick) Cunningham, Shawnna (Bill) Bates and Erin (Jimmy) Wheeler; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Don Rushing of Coshocton. And although they are not family, "Mrs. Fairall" is survived by many former students who were near and dear to her.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard E. "Dick" Fairall whom she married August 14, 1948 and who died July 24, 1985; a grandson, Gregory S. Wolford who died July 21, 2011 and a brother, William Ramsey.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 10:30am Monday, December 19, 2011 at the Frazeysburg Presbyterian Church with the Rev. James Story and Mr. Ray Griffith officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
