Funeral services for Edgar F. ?Sonny? Lewis, 67, of Newark will be held Saturday 1:00 p.m. at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home 1850 W. Main Street Newark with Rev. Michael Gladfelter and Rev. Karen Walters officiating. Entombment will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens. Mr. Lewis died Wednesday Nov. 19, 2003 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born January 2, 1936 in Newark, Ohio to the late Edgar S. and Audrey L. (Peck) Lewis.Mr. Lewis retired in1994 as the Supplier Quality Assurance Manager at Rockwell International with 38 years service. He was a member of the Rockwell Retirees Club, Hebron Lodge # 116 F &AM since 1966, Teheran Grotto, member and trustee at Cox United Methodist Church, active in the Emmaus Community, and a graduate of Granville High School 1954.He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Garnett R. (Watkins) Lewis, whom he married June 26, 1955; three daughters, Chris (Randy) Kerstetter, Hebron, Tami (Steve) Lindner, Westerville, Pam Spence, Heath; grandchildren, Melissa Kerstetter & Brian Lohri, Brian, Eric & Jenna Lindner, Rachel & Kara Spence; two brothers, Rolland (Tina) Lewis of Heath, Darrell ?Chuck? Lewis of Hebron; three sisters, Vera Cassidy of Granville, Cynthia (Greg) Boice of Roseville, Charlotte(George) Cramer of Newark, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Masonic services will be conducted at 6:45 p.m. Friday evening.The family suggest contributions to the Cox United Methodist Church 50 S. 30th Street Newark, Ohio.Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
