Funeral services for Edgar L. Oliver, 47 of Buckeye Lake will be held Saturday August 20, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John?s United Church of Christ, 285 W. National Drive with Rev. Dr. Winfield E. Strout officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery.Mr. Oliver died Monday August 15, 2005 at his residence. He was born June 11, 1958 in Newark, Ohio.Mr. Oliver was employed 20 years as a cook at Frisch?s Restaurant in Heath. He enjoyed bowling and was an avid Bengals fan. Survivors include his mother and step father, Carol Lou (Hupp) and John Penix of Newark; two sons, Nick Oliver of Newark, Devin Oliver of Pataskala; sisters, Janet (James) Miller of Hebron, Joyce Wolfe and Steve Barrett of Buckeye Lake, Joanie (Robert) Kidd of Utica, Jackie (Bruce) Umstott of Coshocton, Cristi (Dave) Lanaghan of Delaware; brothers, Lawrence (Phyllis) Oliver, II, Kenneth (Rhonda) Oliver, Donald (Kim) Jurden, Jerry (Carrie) Jurden all of Newark; several nieces, nephews and beloved dog, Bear.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edgar & Mildred Rutan; father, Lawrence K. Oliver, Sr. and step-son, Brandon Alan Pursley.Calling hours will be observed Friday 6 to 9 p.m. at St. John?s United Church of Christ, 285 W.
