DRESDEN ? Dwayne E. Newell, 71, of Nashport, Ohio died Sunday morning, April 5, 2009 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville, Ohio. Born September 5, 1937 in Muskingum County, he was the son of the late Conard and Frances (Welsh) Newell. Mr. Newell retired in 1999 from the Burnham Corporation where he had worked in the maintenance and production departments. After his retirement he worked for six years at McHugh Jeep and Dodge. Surviving is his wife of 51 years, Larna J. (Moyer) Newell, whom he married June 22, 1957; two sons, Randall (Jenny) Newell of Zanesville and Steven Newell of Carlisle, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Carol Sue (Bud) Krouskoupf of Zanesville and Karen (Scott) Devoll of Newark, Ohio; two brothers, Harold Newell and Gerald (Joan) Newell, both of Zanesville; one sister, Velma (Fred) Tahyi of Conesville, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Brian K. Newell; five brothers and one sister. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Wednesday , April 8, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prospect Church Cemetery.
