A graveside service for Duana L. Reece, 76 of Newark will be held Thursday December 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Newark Memorial Gardens, 2244 Marion Road, Newark Ohio with Eric Miller officiating.

Duana passed away on Sunday December 5, 2021 at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born June 19, 1945 in Minnehaha, SD to Billie L. and Barbara (Luby) Hess.

She had been employed 30 years with Diebold, Inc. in Hebron and then an additional 15 years at the Heath Wal-Mart Store. She was a member of the Newark Moose Lodge # 499 and Heath Eagles. She was a Newark High School graduate and kept in contact with her class attending monthly outings over the years. She enjoyed acquiring Hello Kitty Collectables.   She stayed active during the summer tending to her garden and canning her produce.  She liked interacting with people and loved spending time at family gatherings.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Charles E. Reece; son, Scott Wilson & Jillian Liggett of Heath; grandchildren, Samantha (Guy) Steed of Newcomerstown, Tyler Wilson & Kayla Thompson of Newark; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Noah, Harley, Owen, Austin, Benson; sister, Sue (Jeff) Grumm of Newark; brother, David (Connie) Hess of Thornville; step-children, Kelley (Donald) Robinson of Utica, Charlie (Kelly) Reece of Coshocton; step-grandchildren, Stefan (Carey)Robinson of Newark, John (Mary) Robinson of Columbus, Michelle Robinson-Frisbie & William of Indiana; several step-great-grandchildren; special cousin, Deena Wright of Newark.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister and brother-in law, Beth & Rick McCoy.
