A funeral service for Dorothy L. Thompson-Coon, 85 of Newark will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday December 30, 2006 at the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Myers officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Fork Cemetery. Mrs. Thompson-Coon was born April 27, 1921 in Licking County to the late Herbie and Bessie (Wilson) Nethers. She passed away Saturday December 23, 2006 at the Newark Health Care Centre. Survivors include her son, Dick (Darla) Thompson of Newark; a daughter, Sue Thompson of Newark; grandchildren, Stardis Hullhorst, Windy (Pat) Murphy, and Robert (Mandy) Thompson, all of Newark; great-grandchildren, Bradley and Nicholas Hullhorst; A.J. and Landon Murphy, Rich, Brandon, and Jennifer Thompson; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Allen Nethers, Charlie Nethers and Edwin Nethers; and a sister, Eura Nethers Wright.
