Obituary

Dorothy G. Lyons Turpin McCoy Scarberry, 85, of Dresden, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 5:39p.m. Monday June 19, 2006 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. Mrs. Scarberry was on August 12, 1920 in Crooksville, a daughter of the late Martin V. and Ina Gertrude (Cohagan) Lyons. She was a retired caregiver to family and others over the years. She had attended the Corner Stone Full Gospel Church, the First United Pentecostal Church with her daughter and the Jubilee Revival Center in Dresden. Surviving are a daughter, Nancy J. (David R.) (Preston) Hardt of Dresden, three grandchildren, Pam Spring of Columbus, Paula Pace of Berlin, Cinda Graham of Zanesville, five great grandchildren, Ryan Fuller of Coshocton, Cory Jones, serving with the US Navy in the Persian Gulf aboard the USS Rainier, Ashley Hoberg and Amber Hoberg both of Berlin, Emilee Graham of Zanesville, one great-great grandson, Jacob Fuller and a sister in law Ruth Lyons of Coshocton. She was preceded in death by husbands, William W. Scarberry, Virgil McCoy, an infant son, Harold Wayne Spring, her brother, Fred M. Lyons and a sister, Eileen E. Lyons. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8p.m. Friday June 23, 2006 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, where services will be held Saturday at 1p.m. Pastor David A. Richard officiating. Burial will follow in the Dresden Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
