Dorothy L. Reeves, 102, formerly of Dresden OH passed away on September 10, 2022 at Ohio Living Mt. Pleasant retirement village in Monroe, OH.

She was born on January 16, 1920 in Dresden, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Vesta Crozier Maher and a graduate of Jefferson High School.  She was the last surviving member of the class of 1937.  Dorothy retired after 30 years of employment at the Kroger Company. She was a Red Cross volunteer at Bethesda Hospital for 20 years. She was a member of the Dresden United Methodist church.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Cornell of Middletown, OH; her grandson, Brian (Andrea Caudell) Cornell of Liberty Township OH; great granddaughters, Cara (David) Caldwell of New Carlisle, OH and Kara (Stephen Brown) Caudell of West Chester, OH; great-great grandson, Abel Caldwell of New Carlisle, OH; several nieces and a nephew, as well as many friends in Dresden, OH and at Ohio Living Mt Pleasant retirement village in Monroe, OH.

Along with her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband, Earl Reeves, who passed away in 1981; a son, William; a sister, Mary Helen (Dwight) Walton; a brother, Donald (Muriel) Maher and a son in-law, Gordon (Gene) Cornell.

Calling hours will be from 12:00 to 2:00 PM Friday September 16 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.   A private family burial service will be held in the Dresden Cemetery.
