FRAZEYSBURG ? Dorothy E. Payne, 83, of Coshocton, Ohio, formerly of Ten Mile, Tennessee, died at 8:35pm Monday, November 8, 2004 at Coshocton Memorial Hospital, Coshocton, Ohio. Born October 24, 1921 in Conesville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Louise (Foster) Cupps and was a former employee of the General Electric Company in Coshocton. She also was the former owner of Oden Valley Peach Orchard in Conesville for many years. Mrs. Payne was a member of the Pisgah Baptist Church in Tennessee. Surviving is one son, Clarence Leroy (Carolyn) Dickerson of Frazeysburg; one brother, Wayne Cupps of Brecksville, Ohio; two sisters, Linda (Roger) Hagans of Warsaw, Ohio and Kay (Leo) Bender of Coshocton; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in by her husband, Rex L. Payne, who died April 15, 2000; two daughters, Patty Bunch and Marlene Payne; and a sister, Bonnie Newton. Calling hours will be 6 to 8pm Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street, Frazeysburg. Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
