Obituary

Dorothy I. Fostor, 74, of Coshocton, formerly of Dresden, died at 1:15AM Saturday February 28, 2009 at her home following a lengthy illness. Dorothy was born July 24, 1934 in Noble County, a daughter of the later Eugene R. and Wilma (Shamhart) Johnson. She was a 1953 graduate of Jefferson High School, worked at Mosaic Tile Co. and was a farm wife. She was a member of the Adamsville United Methodist Church, the Adamsville Homemakers Extension Group loved visiting with friends at the Bonnie Longaberger Senior Center and attending Friday night Gospel sings at area churches. Dorothy will always be remembered for her good cooking, her quiet spirit and kind smile. She was always a champion for the underdog. Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Gerald N. Fostor, whom she married April 14, 1956; a daughter, Cynthia (Scott) Limburg, of Coshocton, a son, Chris (Karah Graves) Fostor, of Zanesville; two grandchildren, Rebekah and Matthew Limburg of Coshocton; sisters, Waunita (Carlos) Hogue of Adamsville, Ruth (Frank) Henthorne of Zanesville; a brother, Ivan (Delores) Johnson of Zanesville and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 2-4 & 6-8PM Monday March 2, 2009 at the Adamsville United Methodist Church, where services will be held on Tuesday at 1PM with Pastors Tom Scott and Sharon Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park, Zanesville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Adamsville United Methodist Church, 8065 East Street, Adamsville, OH 43821 or Hospice of Coshocton County, P.O. Box 1284, Coshocton, OH 43812; envelopes will be available at the church.
