FRAZEYSBURG ? Dorothy J. Chaney, 95, of Newark, Ohio, died at 7:15pm Thursday, February 20, 2003 at Genesis Morrison House Hospice, Zanesville, Ohio. Born January 9, 1908 in Hebron, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lena Mae ( Bell ) Iden, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Chaney was a member of First United Methodist Church of Newark, the United Methodist Women, the Candlelighters Group and she taught Sunday school for many years. She also was a 4-H advisor for over 50 years in Licking County and she served as a seamstress at the Children?s Home in Newark. Surviving is one son, Ralph (May) Chaney of Newark; one daughter, Ruth Ann (William) White of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; one brother, Fred Iden of Hanover; five grandchildren, Robin (Steve) Ludinich of Frazeysburg, Debbie Chaney and Wayne Chaney, both of Newark, Jonathan (Molly) White of Alexandria, Virginia, and Joyce (Glen) Dillion of Hammondsville, Ohio; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Chaney, whom she married June 24, 1928 and who died December 5, 1978; and three brothers, Don, Paul and Bob Iden. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral services, which will be 1:00pm Monday, February 24, 2003 at Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 Third Street, Frazeysburg, Ohio. The Rev.
