A funeral service for Dorothy P. Bodle, 94 of Newark will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, at Rocky Fork Church of Christ with Evangelist Moses Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in the Rocky Fork Cemetery.

Mrs. Bodle passed away on March 24, 2022 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. She was born April 25, 1927 in Fallsbury Township to Loren and Glenna (Moran) McKee.

She retired from the Licking County Treasurer's Office.  She was foremost a wife and mother.  She was an active member of the Rocky Fork Church of Christ serving in many capacities. She enjoyed traveling, flower gardening and was an avid reader.

She is survived by her daughters, Ruth Ann (David) Gallwitz, Marie (Rollie) Bailey; grandchildren, Jay (Joanne) Gallwitz, Andy (Kristen) Radde-Gallwitz, Tim (Kristin) Bodle, Lori (Colin) Kronewitter, Lezli (Brandon) Styndl, Lacey (Wess) McKown, Brittany Bailey, Renae (Scot) Lewis; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother & sister-in-law, William (Lillian) Bodle; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bodle, whom she married on December 23, 1944 and who died November 16, 1988; son and daughter-in-law, Don (Georgian) Bodle; sister, Helen (Robert) Stricker; brother, Dwight Hubert (Sue) McKee; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles (Esther) Bodle, Ted (Cleo) Bodle, Betty (Everett Keller) - (Clair) Ritchey, Charlotte (Everett) Smith, Harriett (Leon) Miller, Edith (Johnny Hizey) - (Milo) Moore.

Visitation will be observed 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2022 and Tuesday, one hour prior to the service at Rocky Fork Church of Christ, 12969 Techniglas Road, Newark.
