A funeral service for Doris S. Lagace, 84 of Newark will be held Tuesday April 18, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.Mrs. Lagace died Satuday, April 15, 2006 at Ohio State University Hospital ? East. She was born March 8, 1922 in Syracuse, New York.She was a former nurse?s aide at Arlington Nursing Home and several other area nursing homes. She loved her family and being active in family events.She is survived by her children, Barbara (Frank) Olson Fisher of Harper, Oregon, Patricia (Darrell) May of Bucyrus, Ohio, Michael (Betty) Lagace of Newark, Ralph (Daisy) Lagace of Newark, Kathleen (David) Reed of Newark; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Hector L. Lagace, six brothers and two sisters.Calling hours will be observed Monday evening 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home 1850 West Main Street.Memorial contributions may be made to the Licking County Aging Program 745 East Main Street Newark, Ohio.
