FRAZEYSBURG – Dora Mae Middlemus, 78, of Lancaster, Ohio died Sunday morning, May 15, 2011 at Crestview Skilled Nursing Center in Lancaster.
Born April 21, 1933 in Frazeysburg, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Asher and Emily Jane (Minnich) Kerr. Following the death of her mother, Dora was raised from age nine by the late Addison and Helen Morgan. She was a 1951 graduate of Frazeysburg High School. Mrs. Middlemus was a member of the Fairfield Community Church of Lancaster and was employed for nearly forty years at Bay's Food Market on Maple Street in Lancaster. She had also worked in the customer service department of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.
Surviving is her husband, Wayne Middlemus whom she married May 27, 1956; one son, Mark (Angie Foster) Middlemus of Frazeysburg; two daughters, Molly (Morad) Saheli of Lancaster and Mindy Heston of Pickerington, Ohio; two grandchildren, Mesbah (Holly) Saheli and Massih Saheli and a great grandchild on the way. Also surviving are two brothers, George (Daisy) Kerr of Zanesville, Ohio and Paul Kerr of California; one sister Ruth (Don) Slaughter of West Lafayette, Ohio and several nieces, nephew and cousins.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Joe Kerr and a sister Mary Ann Archibald.

Calling hours will be 5 to 8pm Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Kirby officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
