Donna M. Wagner, 78, formerly of Dresden, Ohio died peacefully Tuesday morning, June 4, 2019 at Sharon Brooke Assisted Living in Newark, Ohio.

Born February 7, 1941 in Zanesville, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Roy H. and Estella M. (Lapp) Cody and was a 1959 graduate of Dresden Jefferson High School. Donna was a homemaker and a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Dresden. She enjoyed bowling, ceramics, flower gardening, bird watching and watching Tri-Valley football with her husband. She was also a wonderful cook.

Surviving is her loving husband of 58 years, Larry L. Wagner whom she married April 15, 1961; three sons, Toby (Christine Murray) Wagner of Westerville, Ohio, Todd (Kimberley) Wagner of Dresden and Troy (Nicole) Wagner of Gambier, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Logan Wagner, Lindsey Rivera, Seth Wagner, Cody Wagner, Sidney Wagner, Baleigh Wagner, Cole Wagner and Conner Allen and two great grandchildren, Avery Rivera and Aella Wagner. Also surviving is one brother, Roger (Jeanette) Cody of Frazeysburg; her brother in-law and sister in-law, Bill and Marlene Wagner of Nashport and several nieces and nephews.

In additions to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Billy Cody; a brother Larry Cody and a sister, Ruth Newcome.

Calling hours will be 5pm to 8pm Friday, June 7, 2019 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:30pm Saturday, June 8, 2019 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 405 Chestnut Street with the Reverend Father Donald Franks as celebrant. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
