Donna A. Mercer, 85, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Saturday afternoon, April 22, 2023 at the home of her daughter in Nashport, Ohio.

Born July 25, 1937 in Dresden, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Charles and Zona (Preston) Wolford. Donna was a homemaker and she loved cooking and taking care of her family. She enjoyed her many flower gardens and bird watching. Donna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and her family was her greatest enjoyment.

Surviving are two daughters, Debbie (Gene) Howell of Coshocton, Ohio and Jackie (Curt) Stone of Nashport; two sons, Bob Mercer of Frazeysburg and Ron Mercer of Nashport; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Becky Brown of Zanesville and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Ronald R. Mercer whom she married March 16, 1955 and who died August 5, 2021; two daughters, Cindy Mercer and Carol Shepherd; three sons, Rick, Ed and Dale Mercer; one grandchild; three sisters, Jean Wagner, Thelma Wagner and Sondra Noland and six brothers, Ralph, Kenneth, Charles, Lee and Gerald Wolford and infant Robert Wolford.

Friends and family may call 5pm to 7pm Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.

Funeral services will be at 7pm Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at the funeral home.
