Donna Barr Melrose, 89, died Thursday morning, October 16, 2025 at her home in Frazeysburg, Ohio.

Born March 25, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Charles Edward and Edith Rebecca (Dye) Barr and a 1954 graduate of New Concord High School. Donna was a long-time member of Frazeysburg United Methodist Church (Frazeysburg Christian Church) and enjoyed quilting, sewing, and baking. She was known for making the most delicious pies. Donna loved her family deeply and enjoyed every moment she was able to spend with them.

Surviving are her daughters, Debra (Bill) Mitchell of Chesapeake, Virginia and Danette (George) Trotti of St. Hedwig, Texas; five grandchildren, Bradford (Kalie) Mitchell, Katie (Lucas) Glasscock, Megan Mitchell, Bailee Mitchell, and Samantha (Madeline) Hobbs; four great grandchildren, Logan, Miller, Sloan, and Parker; twin sister, Darliss Mock and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Everette Barr and a brother in-law, Philip Mock.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Donna will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, November 7, 2025 at Frazeysburg Christian Church, 87 West 2nd Street, Frazeysburg, OH 43822 with Donna's family officiating.
