Donald H. Lashley, 86, of Nashport, Ohio died Wednesday afternoon, June 27, 2012 at his home.
Born July 26, 1925 in Newark, Ohio he was a son of the late David H. and Oscasadlia (Settles) Lashley and was a World War II veteran having served in the U. S. Marines. He was a member of the Fallsburg Baptist Church, the Hanover American Legion and the DAV. Mr. Lashley was a retired driller having worked with numerous oil drilling companies in the area.
Surviving is his wife, Doris M. (Moran) Lashley whom he married February 5, 1988; one son David H. (Mary) Lashley of Danville, Ohio; two daughters, Linda Homer of Zanesville, Ohio and Carolyn (William) Paisley of Columbus, Ohio; a step-son, Leo (Misty) Sheppard of Warsaw, Ohio; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ann (Blizzard) Lashley who died in 1970; a brother, Harold Lashley; a sister Florence Stage and a grandson.
Calling hours will be from 9am to 10am Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Fallsburg Baptist Church in Fallsburg, Ohio.
Funeral services will be 10:00am at the Fallsburg Baptist Church with the Rev. Bryan "Jeffy" Dahlke officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery, Newark, Ohio.
The Licking County Veterans Alliance will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
