Obituary

Donald D. Hague, 77, of Dresden, Ohio died Friday morning, June 23, 2017 at Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville, Ohio.

Born January 21, 1940 in Noble County, Ohio, he was a son of the late Talmadge and Georgia (Butler) Hague and was a graduate of Dresden Jefferson High School. Mr. Hague was a manager for 33 years at Breithaupt Lumber of Dresden and later worked in the woodcrafts department of The Longaberger Company for 17 years. Don loved the outdoors and was very active in raising and hunting Beagles. He was a regular at Dresden McDonald's for his 9:00am morning coffee.

Surviving is his loving wife of 59 years, Bonita J. "Bonnie" (Birkhimer) Hague whom he married February 22, 1958; one son, Donald E. (Lydia) Hague of Walhonding, Ohio; two daughters, Wanda Kay Harney and Rebecca Ann Henry, both of Dresden; five grandchildren, Wendy (Marqus) Allen, Katrina (Eric) Mills, Ashlee Barnhart, Cameron (Tiffinay) Hague and Bradley Duane Henry; eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Hague and Delbert Hague; three sisters, Martha Mallet, Anna Charlene Myers and Dorotha Irene Osborne and a great grandchild, Jensen Levi Henry.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Monday, June 26, 2017 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Starkey Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
