FRAZEYSBURG â?? Donald Paul Gomez, 50, of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, died Saturday morning, January 23, 2010 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
Born April 29, 1959 in Newark, Ohio, he was the son of the late Jose H. and Geraldine M. (Lucas) Gomez and was a 1978 graduate of River View High School. Mr. Gomez was a veteran having served in the U. S. Marines and was a former employee of MPW of Newark. He was Baptist by faith.
Surviving are three brothers, Joseph Nicholas (Florence) Gomez of Eugene, Oregon, Douglas Ray Gomez of Warsaw, Ohio and John Anthony Gomez of Mt. Vernon; one sister, Aleta Ann (Nathan) Shellenbarger of Mt. Vernon; one niece; two nephews and a great nephew.
There will be no calling hours. Following a caring cremation, his remains will be buried in Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.
The family was assisted by the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home.
