Donald E. Breeden, 81, of Dresden, Ohio died Monday evening, November 9, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born October 30, 1934 in Dresden he was a son of the late Arnold Breeden and Ruby (Lacy) Breeden Foust and was a 1952 graduate of Dresden Jefferson High School. Mr. Breeden was a Navy veteran serving during the Korean War and he retired in 1986 from Rockwell International after 31 years of service. He later worked for 10 years in the security department of the Longaberger Company. Donald was a member of the Dresden First Baptist Church and the Dresden American Legion. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking.
Surviving is his loving wife of over 60 years, Anna L. (Baker) Breeden whom he married May 14, 1955; two sons, Donald "Buster" (Melina) Breeden and Mark (Karla) Breeden both of Dresden; a daughter, Peggy Daniel of Coshocton, Ohio; three grandchildren, Morgan Daniel, Molly Daniel and Jessica Breeden; two step-grandsons, Logan Ethell and Jakob Ethell; three step great grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Vee) Breeden of Newark, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Breeden and three sisters, Wilma Newlon, Patty Workman and Delores Jones.
Calling hours will be 5pm to 8pm Friday, November 13, 2015 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Dresden First Baptist Church, 801 Chestnut Street with Pastor Joseph Offenberger officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Dresden First Baptist Church.
