Calling hours for Donald L. ?Bummy? Baumgartner, 74 of Newark will be held Tuesday October 30, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Homes. Newark Druid?s will conduct services at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Baumgartner died Sunday October 27, 2007 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. He was born November 7, 1933 in Newark to the late Joseph Baumgartner and Esther L. ?Essie? (Inlow) Baumgartner of Newark. Mr. Baumgartner was a former employee of Regis Paper. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a member of the Newark Druids for 46 years. He held many offices including, Past Arch, Past Noble Arch, Past Noble Grand Arch, Deputy Noble Arch, Supreme Noble Arch, Past President I.U.L.D. and Supreme Arch of U.S.A. In addition to his mother he is survived by his significant other for 10 years, Beatrice ?Beady? Laughery of Newark; daughters, Annette (Bob) Hupp of Brownsville, Daon (Kevin) Neal of Junction City, Oh.; sisters, Rosemary Ratliff of Newark, Linda (Kenneth) Rhodes of Mount Dora, FL., Janet (Monte) Nagy of Newark; brothers, Joseph (Shirley) Baumgartner, Jr. of Newark, James Baumgartner of Blue Rock, Gerald ?Skip? (Neva) Baumgartner of Newark; granddaughter, Tara Hupp; several nieces, nephews; extended family of Vickie (Rod) Morin of Newark, Dennis ?Skip? Laughery and Pam Thompson. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
