Dennis "Denny" David Potts Sr., 80, of Trinway, died Friday afternoon, July 28, 2023 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House.

Born August 11, 1942 in Sewickley, PA he was a son of the late Norman and Dorothy (Williams) Potts and a graduate of Coraopolis High School in Pennsylvania.  Denny retired from P&LE Railroad after 20 years and Waste Management after 10 years.  He was a United States Air Force Vietnam Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #399.  Denny faithfully attended the Meadowview Church of Christ and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Surviving is his wife 43 years, Karen Lynne (Day) Potts, whom he married February 14, 1980; a son, Dennis David Potts Jr.; two daughters, Susan (Louis) Hetzer and Amy (Gregg) Meadows; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Lois Pusateri; a brother, Robert Smith; an aunt, Shirley Wickline; sister-in-law, Roberta Cerini and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Denny was preceded in death by a brother, Kevin Smith and a sister, Norma Duell.

Friends and family may call 11:00am till the time of service at 1:00pm on Friday, August 11, 2023 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a 1:00pm, Friday August 11, 2023 with Minister Sam Dunn officiating and full military honors will be held by the United States Air Force in conjunction with the American Legion Post #399.
