Obituary

Denise M. Armstrong Dovenbarger, 38, of Nashport, Ohio passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon March 4, 2010 at her home after a long battle with diabetes.

Born July 2, 1971 in Newark, Ohio, she was the daughter Shirley A. (Wollard) and Raymond E. Longfellow of Nashport. Denise loved life, was very spiritual and was very devoted to her many friends. She was a former of employee of The Country Cupboard of Dresden and worked in home health care with MMRD.

Surviving in addition to her mother and father is her fiancé, Robin Frank of Nashport; one sister, Dina (Aaron) Doelker of Pataskala, Ohio; a step-sister, Ginger (Seth) Cole of Utah; a step-brother, Shannon (Valerie) Longfellow of North Carolina; a step-daughter, Chanse Frank; her grandfather, Robert E. Johnson of Newark, her grandmother, Virginia Longfellow of Nashport; two aunts, Debie (Herb) Kraning of Newark and Kim (Greg) Kesselring of Springfield, Virginia; an uncle, James (Tammy) Wollard of Sciotoville, Ohio; special cousins, Kyle, Greg (Leslie) and Tiffani; a very special life-long friend, Matthew Kinser of Newark and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Denise was preceded in death by her grandmother, Shirley A. â??Nanaâ? Johnson, her grandfather, Cecil â??Corkyâ? Longfellow; an uncle, Ken Wollard and a special friend, Elizabeth Frank.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Sunday, March 7, 2010 at the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 West Main Street.

Funeral services will be 10:00am Monday, March 8, 2010 at the funeral home with the Rev. Tom Myers officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
