Delores "Peanut" Wisecarver, 85, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Thursday afternoon, December 8, 2022 at the home of her son, Barry (Donna) Wisecarver, in Frazeysburg.  Her loving family was at her side.

Born September 6, 1937 in Muskingum County, she was a daughter of the late Floyd and Mary (Lindell) Whyde and was a graduate of Frazeysburg High School.  "Peanut" was a homemaker and an employee of the Lear Corporation of Zanesville, where she retired in May of 1999.  She enjoyed doing crafts and sewing, but she most enjoyed being with her loving family.

Surviving are two sons, Barry (Donna) Wisecarver and Rex (Christina) Wisecarver, both of Frazeysburg; two daughters, Martha (James) Ashcraft and Tina Wiles, both of Frazeysburg; ten grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.  Also surviving is one brother, Tommie Whyde of Frazeysburg and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 66 years, William M. "Bill" Wisecarver whom she married August 27, 1955 and who died April 9, 2022; two grandchildren, Tiffany Wisecarver who died December 10, 1984 and Angela Mowrer who died April 17, 2022; a brother, Steve Whyde and a nephew, Nick Whyde.

Calling hours will be 6pm to 8pm Monday, December 12, 2022 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at the funeral home with Minister Sam Dunn officiating.  Delores will be laid to rest beside her loving husband, Bill, in Dresden Cemetery.
