Obituary

Delores (Jean) Moreland, 76, of West Lafayette, formerly of Dresden pasted away at 1:38PM Wednesday February 14, 2007 at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. She had been a resident of Coshocton Health and Rehab since August, 2006. Delores was born September 11, 1930 in Harrison County, OH, the daughter of the late James and Bertha Carothers. She was retired from United Technologies Corporation. She is survived by four daughters, Shiela Walters of Groveport, Glenna Whited of Coshocton, Sherry Lewis of Dresden, Susan (Ron) Whited of West Lafayette; one son, Thomas R. (Judy) Moreland, Jr. of Adamsville; twelve grandchildren, Scott and Pauline Whited, Toni Morrison and Michael Dayton, Johnnie Moreland and fianc? Joanna Hartsock, Jamie Ingram, Stephanie Whited, Neil Walters, Dusty Lewis, Amber Moreland, Toby Walters; six great grandchildren, Deven and Matthew Whited, Aidan Walters, Gavin Lewis, Caileigh Dayton, Nick Morrison; one brother, Melvin (Virginia) Carothers of Canton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. Moreland, Sr.; two sisters, Betty Carothers and Phyllis Kelly; one brother, James Carothers; and two great grandchildren (twins) Joseph and Andrew Whited.Friends may call 2-4PM and 6-8PM Sunday February 18, 2007 at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home 714 Main Street, Dresden, where services will be held at 1:00PM Monday February 19, 2007 with Pastor Mark Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Dresden Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Coshocton Health and Rehab Center, 100 S. Whitewoman St, Coshocton, OH 43812; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
