DRESDEN – Delaine L. Freeman, 64, of Dresden, Ohio died Wednesday morning, February 15, 2012 at her home.
Born December 27, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio she was a daughter of Donald Leroy Lowe of Pickerington, Ohio and the late Bonnie Lou (Sanders) Lowe and was a 1965 graduate of Reynoldsburg High School. Mrs. Freeman was a homemaker and a Christian. She was active in doing charity work in many area churches and she started the Angel Food Program at the Word Worship Center in Coshocton.
Surviving in addition to her father are three sons, Mark (Tabitha) Scaggs of Columbus, Frank (Helen) Dayton of Coshocton and Edward (Misti) Grumman of Dresden; three daughters, Brenda (John) Kelley of Norman, Oklahoma, Mary (Paul) Hughett of Dresden and Yvonne (Joseph) Orlando of Canton, Ohio; eleven grandchildren; three brothers, Daniel Lowe and Donavon Steven (Vickie) Lowe, both of Pickerington and James (Rosalie) Lowe of Kirkersville, Ohio; two Aunts, Mary Alice and Millie and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene E. Freeman whom she married August 25, 1981 and who died November 24, 2000.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Sunday, February 19, 2012 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Monday, February 20, 2012 at the funeral home with the Rev. James Gross officiating. Burial will be in Chalfants Cemetery.
