A funeral service for Dee Donald Loucks, Jr., 65 of Heath will be held Saturday June 18, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Rev. Robert L. Knox officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Cedar Hill Cemetery.Mr. Loucks died Tuesday June 14, 2005 at Kobacker House. He was born April 16, 1940 in Tampa, Florida to the late Dee Donald and Agatha (Viti) Loucks.Mr. Loucks retired in 1995 with 26 years service in the engineering and quality assurance departments at Brunswick Corporation in Deland, Fl. and Sugar Grove, VA. defense plants.He graduated in 1958 from H.B. Plant High School, Tampa, FL., he attended the University of Florida in Gainesville on a football scholarship graduating with a bachelor?s degree in Industrial Engineering in 1962. While at University of Florida, he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.Mr. Loucks was a member and past master of Crusader # 720 F & AM Masonic Lodge, member and past president of Licking County Shrine Club, Licking County York Rite Bodies, Teheran Grotto, Newark Moose Lodge # 499 and a former member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus.Survivors include his wife, Doreen (Parkinson) Loucks; sons, Dee Donald (Angie) Loucks, III of Anniston, AL., Mark Lindsey Loucks of Greer, SC., Gary Robert Loucks of Spartanburg, SC.; daughter, Vicki (David) Moyer of Mustang, OK.; sister, Betty Lou Watson, Fayetteville, NC.; grandchildren, Meagan Loucks, Kimberly Loucks, Calab Lackey, Brittney Hawk; two nieces, several cousins and Chico.In addition to his parents, a daughter, Kathleen Rose and granddaughter, Courtney Hatfield preceded him in death.Calling hours will be observed Friday evening 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home 1850 West Main Street.
