Deanna Sarchet, 80, of Nashport, Ohio died Wednesday afternoon, December 20, 2017 at Genesis Hospital emergency room in Zanesville, Ohio.

Born January 11, 1937 in Pekin, Illinois she was a daughter of the late Hugo and Elizabeth (Tarman) Wrhel and was a 1955 graduate of Frazeysburg High School. Mrs. Sarchet was Christian by faith and enjoyed cooking and crocheting. Her greatest enjoyment was being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving is her loving husband of 60 years, Richard A. Sarchet whom she married March 24, 1957; a daughter and son in-law, Karen and Craig Johnston of Frazeysburg; a son and daughter in-law, Jeff and Michelle Sarchet of Johnstown, Ohio; four grandchildren, Julian Johnston, Chase Johnston, Jody (Kelsey) Sarchet and Jared Sarchet and three great grandchildren, Dakota, Easton and Jaxson Sarchet. Also surviving is one sister, Caroline Bachelder of Mansfield, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Kamer and a brother, Hugh Wrhel.

There will be no calling hours.

Private family graveside services and burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
