A funeral service for Dean I. ?Deano? Honnold, 72 of Newark will be held Tuesday October 31, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.Mr. Honnold died Thursday October 26, 2006 at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born October 8, 1934 in Zanesville to the late James Leroy and Catherine Ada (Spinks) Honnold.Mr. Honnold retired in May 2006 from Ampacet. He is also retired from Licking Memorial Hospital and Roper Corp. He was a former employee of Midland Screw Co. and Anomatic Corp.He enjoyed cookouts and camping with his family. His favorite past times included playing euchre, gardening and motorcycling.Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Sierra Sue (Allen) Honnold, whom he married May 23, 1959; four daughters, Penny (Jerry) Bush of Newark, Deanna Honnold of Newark, Marla (Boyd) Yates of Hebron, Misty (Scott) Lowry of St. Louisville; sisters, Petey (Jim) Wiemer of Galloway, Janice (Bob) Weaver of Adamsville; mother-in-law, Clarabelle North of Newark; brother-in-law, Walter ?Butch? Allen; grandchildren, Ricky (Christy), Jay, Jennifer (Darian), Melisha, Jessica, Steven; great grandson, Vince; adopted grandchildren William, Kimberly, Braxton; special friend Will; several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy (Jim) Campbell, Irene Evans and brother-in-law, Gary Allen.Calling hours will be observed Sunday 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home 1850 West Main Street.Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help the family.
