David T. Conway, Sr., 81, of Dresden, Ohio died Wednesday morning April 18, 2012 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville, Ohio.
Born November 23, 1930 in Westerville, Ohio he was the son of the late Forrest and Martha (Preston) Conway and was an Air Force veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Conway was retired from the security department of The Longaberger Company. He enjoyed building remote controlled airplanes, model ships, leather crafts and he was a gunsmith. He was also an avid fisherman.
Surviving are three sons, Pat Conway of Wills Creek, Ohio, David T. (Rose) Conway, Jr. of Frazeysburg and Danny (Cindy) Conway of Zanesville; two daughters, Colleen (Brian) Mayle of Frazeysburg and Cody (Marty) Martin of Dresden; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; a brother, Preston (Betty) Conway of Arizona and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parent he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Francis E. (Ludwig) Conway whom he married June 25, 1955 and who died February 20, 2008 and a sister, Jean Woods.
Calling hours will be from 1pm to 3pm Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be 3:00pm Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastor Don Lane officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
