Funeral services for David E. ?Brookesy? Brooke, 46 of Newark will be held Friday September 29, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Rev. Robert L. Knox officiating. Burial will be in the Rocky Fork Cemetery.Mr. Brooke died Saturday at his residence. He was born June 24, 1960 in Newark to the late Nellie R. (Wright) Brooke and Robert W. Brooke of Newark.Mr. Brooke was employed for over 30 years as a commercial carpenter. He attended Licking Valley High School. He was also a Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiast.Survivors include his father and step-mother, Robert W. and Sandy Brooke of Newark; wife, Amy R. (Pickrel) Brooke whom he married January 13, 2001; son, Dylan Brooke of Newark; daughter, Amanda Carr of Newark; sisters, Lori (Robert) Orr of Glenford, Tracy (Steve) Clay of Hebron, Julie Barcus (Bob Kelley) of Heath, niece, Amanda Lewis; nephew, Cody Barcus; aunt, Theresa Cost of Newark; uncle, George (Mary) Brooke of West Jefferson; several cousins; mother-in-law, Karen Jo Hamilton of Granville; brothers and sisters-in-law, April & Ron Gillham of Newark, Albert & Sheila Miller of Newark, Laura & Scott McClain of Newark; grandparents-in-law, Mac & Bonnie Steele of Newark; several nieces and nephews.Calling hours will be observed Thursday evening 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home 1850 West Main Street.The family request memorial contributions to the Brooke Family Trust C/0 any Chase Bank.
