David E. "Zeke" Bay, 63, of Nashport, Ohio died Monday afternoon, August 24, 2015 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.

Born April 15, 1952 in Newark, Ohio he was a son of the late Donald D. Bay and Elsie M. (Woodruff) Bay Kanavel and was a 1970 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. He was a retired employee of Owens-Corning Fiberglass of Newark. Previously he had worked in the oil fields for Moran Brothers Drilling and Cameron Brothers Drilling. He also worked for Greiner Dairy as a milk delivery man. David enjoyed working on old cars and mushroom hunting. His greatest enjoyment was spending time at his pond house fishing.

Surviving is his wife of 44 years, Karen S. (Ziegler) Bay whom he married April 2, 1971; two daughters, Mandy (Gary) Clark and Marcy (Josh) Caudill, both of Nashport; one son, David S. (Keri) Bay of Nashport; eight grandchildren, Devin Clark, Samantha Clark, Mason Clark, Shelley Clark, Tyler Bay, Baylee Caudill, Jaxson Bay and Tenley Bay; two great grandchildren, Cooper Clark and Ryleigh Clark; five sisters, Karan (Mike) Evans of Lapel, Indiana, Donna Willis of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Joyce (Jack) Potts of Mt. Perry, Ohio, Kitty Weaver of Mt. Perry and Betty Bay of West Lafayette, Ohio; two brothers, Donald (Lori) Bay of Nashport and Bob Bay of Newark, Ohio; his mother in-law, Thelma (Walter) Rockwell of Zanesville; two sisters in-law; three brothers in-law and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Brennan and his father in-law, Stewart Ziegler.

Calling hours will be 5pm to 8pm Friday, August 28, 2015 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Irville Cemetery.
