David C. Alexander, 72, of Nashport, Ohio died Sunday morning, December 26, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born May 29, 1949 in Shelby, Ohio he was a son of the late Joseph and Ida (Wynkoop) Alexander and was a 1967 graduate of Shelby High School.  David was a retired supervisor at Columbia Gas Company and a member of the Nashport United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two children, Allison Lowe of Zanesville, Ohio and Tyler (Emileigh) Alexander of Dresden, Ohio; five grandchildren, Beckett and Holden Lowe, Quinnci, Lucas and Cecilia Alexander; former spouse and the mother of his children, Ann Alexander; two brothers, Joe (Judy) Alexander of Antwerp, Ohio and Jim Alexander of Shelby, Ohio; two sisters, Pat (Merle) Jenkins of Shelby, Ohio and Sandy (Dale) Jenney of Shiloh, Ohio and many nieces and nephews..

Friends and family may call from 4pm to 7pm Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, December 31, 2021 at the funeral home with Minister Sam Dunn officiating.

David will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
