NEWARK - A funeral service for Danny L. Taylor, 63 of Heath will be 10:00 a.m. Friday October 19, 2007 in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Sowards officiating. Entombment will be in Newark Memorial Gardens. Mr. Taylor died Monday October 15, 2007 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. He was born December 5, 1943 in Mt. Vernon to the late Monford and Betty (Hanby) Taylor. He graduated from Sheridan High School and had worked for over thirty years as a truck driver with the Ohio National Guard. Mr. Taylor was a member of Cox United Methodist Church, and Amvets #51 in Thornville. He coached softball for over 15 years. He enjoyed wood working and spending time with his family. He especially loved watching his grandchildren play sports. Survivors include his wife, Donna M. (Warman) Taylor, whom he married September 11, 1965; daughters, Nancy (Bill) Adams of Thornville, Beth (John) Ashbaugh of Heath, Jenny (Chad) Truex of Heath; grandchildren, Brittany Jones, Katie and Andrea Adams, Nathan, Danny, Brandon and Justin Truex, John and Brooklyn Ashbaugh; a brother Larry (Mary) Taylor of The Villages, Florida. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark.
