Obituary
A funeral service Danny D. Duff, Sr., 67 of Newark will be held Monday November 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rocky Fork Cemetery.
Mr. Duff died Wednesday November 3, 2010 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. He was born July 1, 1943 in Newcomerstown, Ohio to the late James Albon and Ethel Lucille (Best) Duff.
Mr. Duff had operated several small businesses. He was a member of the Piqua Shawnee Tribe and a Native-American flute maker, He enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting. He spent many hours on his motorcycle. He had a great love for animals and a special place in his heart for his dogs.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sandra K. (Walker) Duff, whom he married October 30, 1963; children, Kelli Marie (Bim) Depoyo of Kona, Hawaii, Danny D. Duff, Jr. of Lafayette, TN, Jami Lynn (Tony) Creasy of Westmoreland, TN;Six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Diane (Robert) Watson, Connie Hopkins both of Newcomerstown; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be observed Sunday November 7, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home 1850 West Main Street.
The family request memorial contributions to Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O. Box 430, Newark, Ohio 43058-0430. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. The family would like to express a special thank you to the hospice staff for the exceptional care.
