FRAZEYSBURG ? Daniel E. Minnich, 82, of 6840 Hedges Lane, Frazeysburg, Ohio, died Saturday morning, November 16, 2002 at his home. Born September 5, 1920 in Frazeysburg, he was the son of the late Francis Joseph and Dora May (Evans) Minnich. He graduated in 1939 from Frazeysburg High School and was a Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Minnich retired as a truck driver and gauger with Ohio Oil Gatherings of Frazeysburg, and he was owner and operator of Minnich?s Auto Wrecking of Frazeysburg. He was a member of Wakatomika Post 6193 VFW, the American Legion, Frazeysburg Lodge #490, F & AM, the Civil Air Patrol, and the Chrysler Air-Flow Club. Surviving are three sons, Lt. Bill Minnich, US Navy (Ret.), and Larry Minnich, both of Frazeysburg, and Allen Minnich of Zanesville, Ohio; one daughter and son in-law, Marilyn and Jim Mitchell of Ludlow Falls, Ohio; one brother, Walter Minnich of Marion, Ohio; three sisters, Dorothy Brown of Boca Ruton, Florida, Betty Romine Klontz of Heath, Ohio, and Freda Kilpatrick of Frazeysburg; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel M. (Peters) Minnich, whom he married January 25, 1946, and who died December 24, 2001; five brothers, Donald, Charles, Paul, Robert and Carl Minnich; and one sister, Emily Jane Kerr. Calling hours will be 4 to 8pm Tuesday, November 19, 2002 at Vensil-Orr Funeral Home in Frazeysburg. Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at the funeral home with Dr. James A. Schumacher officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
