A funeral service for Dale E. Miller, 87 of Newark will be held Monday January 31, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Newark Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Brother Roger Cummings officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Miller passed away on Wednesday January 26, 2022 at his residence. He was born July 8, 1934 in Newark to William H. and Stella M. (McKnight) Miller.

Dale retired after 34 years at Owens Corning Fiberglas and then continued to work for Ghiloni Custom Builders an additional 15 years. He was a member of the Church of God.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Nancy M. (Johnson) Miller; children, Kimberly (Irwin) Sesher of Heath, Ronald (Sheila) Miller of Newark, Glenn (Julie) Miller of Newark, Carolyn Miller (Dave Westbrook) of Mt. Vernon; daughter-in-law, Missy Miller of Newark; grandchildren, Jeanette (Nick) Conger, Brandon (Jaylene) Sesher, Bryce Sesher, Jill (Reggie) Stegmeier, Brock (Allison) Miller, Jared Lucas, Sara Lucas, Brett Miller, Trenton (Bethany) Miller, Breanna (Ricky) Shaw; seventeen great-grandchildren and one coming in May; brother, William X. Miller of Newark; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kevin S. Miller; siblings, Ollie Spellman, Cora Pine, Lucy Miller, Betty Bolin, Carl Miller, Walter Miller and spiritual brother, Dale Green.

A visitation will be held Sunday from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 1850 West Main Street, Newark.
