ADAMSVILLE ? Dale L. Adams, Sr., 70, of Adamsville, Ohio, died at 2:01pm Thursday, February 2, 2006 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Born February 20, 1935 in Adamsville, he was the son of the late Paul B. and Josephine H. (Harris) Adams and was a 1953 graduate of Adamsville High School. Mr. Adams was employed by the Dollar General Warehouse of Zanesville in the Security Department. He loved horses and was an avid bowler and Stock Car fan. He was currently serving as Democratic Central Committeeman for Salem Township of Muskingum County. Surviving is his wife, Carol L. (Snoots) Adams whom he married September 22, 1973; two daughters, JoAnn Adams Wilden of Dresden and Amy J. Pyle (David) Kilpatrick of New Concord, Ohio; two sons, Timothy Dale Adams of Coshocton and Dale L. Adams, Jr. of Arizona; one brother, Weldon L. (Peg) Adams of Florida; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian L. Adams Bricky and his life-long friend, Walter Wisecarver. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Sunday, February 5, 2006 at the Adamsville Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 8005 East Street. Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, February 6, 2006 at the funeral home with the Rev. Bracken Foster officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Adamsville Volunteer Fire Department.
