Obituary

DRESDEN – D. Terry Ripple, 72, of Dresden, Ohio died Monday afternoon, November 21, 2011 at Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville.
Born January 23, 1939 in Dresden he was the son of the late Donald S. and Florence M. (McGovern) Ripple and was a 1957 graduate of Dresden Jefferson High School. He retired after 32 years of service with Armco/AK Steel in Coshocton where he worked in the shipping department as a stock tracer. Previously he had worked at the old Dresden Paper Mill and in his younger days he operated the projector at the old Dresden Movie Theater. Mr. Ripple served the community as a member of the Dresden Village Council for over 30 years and as an assistant girls track coach at Tri-Valley High School for six years. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, the Knight of Columbus and the Sons of the American Legion. An avid outdoorsman and hunter he was a charter member of the Dresden Gun Club, home of the Dresden Outlaw Association.
Surviving is his wife, Mary Belle (McGee) Ripple whom he married September 6, 2008; three sons, Donald J. Ripple of Dresden, Chris Ripple of Frazeysburg and Dale (Erin) Fuller of Nashport; seven daughters, Susie Daniels of Frazeysburg, Beth (Steve) Miller, Annette (David) Lapp and Mandy (Shad) Wagner, all of Dresden, Angie (Ben) Morehouse of Zanesville, Katie (Ryan) Mohler of Trinway, Ohio and Jessica Fuller of Dresden; twenty grandchildren, Nikki, Brody, Brannon, Tony, Erica, Heath, Rachel, Matt, Nate, Cole, Lauren, Ellie Mae, Karson, Hallie, Jack, Luke, Landon, Ethan, Sofia and Mia; three great grandchildren, Lizzie, Laney and Lydia; a brother, Pat (Connie) Ripple of Dresden; his mother in-law, Helen McGee of Trinway; a brother in-law, Dale McGee of Mt. Perry and a sister in-law, Wanda McGee of Zanesville.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet (Wilcox) Ripple whom he married October 19, 1957 and who died July 5, 2004.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Friday, November 25, 2011 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street. Christian Wake services will be at 4:00pm Friday and Rosary will be recited at 8:00pm Friday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30am Saturday, November 26, 2011 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Dresden with the Rev. Father Jack Maynard as celebrant. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
