NEWARK: Cynthia Marie Lewis, 39 of Newark died unexpectedly Monday evening, September 20, 2010.
Cindy was born October 20, 1970 in Newark to the late Steven A. Lewis and Rose Marie (Mummey) Lewis of Newark. She graduated from Newark High School in 1989 and was a member of The Church of God at Godâ??s Acres. Cindy was a caring and generous friend to many. She loved her children and her family.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, Chester Arthur â??C.J.â? Fields and Savannah Starr Fields, both of the home; brothers, Steven A. (Teressia) Lewis, Jr. of Morgantown, NC, William W. (Lisa) Lewis of Heath, and Paul W. (Tasha) Lewis of Newark; a sister, Rebecca (Kevin) Fox of Galloway; a special cousin, Robert D. (Stephanie) Jones of Newark; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Steven A. Lewis, December 13, 2005.
Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2010 at the Church of God at Godâ??s Acres, 675 N. Cedar Street, Newark.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the church with Pastor Roger L. Decker officiating. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of God at Godâ??s Acres.
