A funeral service for Clyde Raymond Adams, Sr., 83, of Trinway will be held at 11AM Friday December 19, 2003 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Schaefer officiating. Burial will follow in the Adams Mills Cemetery. Mr. Adams died Wednesday December 17, 2003 at his home following several months? illness. He was born May 30, 1920 in Muskingum County to the late Clyde Leroy and Ruth (Hutchison) Adams. He was a member of the Trinway U. Methodist Church, Dresden Lodge #103 F.&A.M., the Mended Hearts in Zanesville and a life member of Dresden VFW Post #11072. An Army veteran in the Black Hawk Division during WWII, Mr. Adams was awarded a diploma from Tri-Valley High School on Veteran?s Day last month during a school assembly. He retired from the Shelly Company, formerly Gene Cox & Sons, in Trinway. He is survived by his wife of sixty one years, Glenna E. (Holdsworth) Adams, his children, Clyde Raymond (Nancy) Adams, Jr., of Trinway, Diana Jenkins of Trinway, Dixie Adams of Gahanna; grandsons, Brian Adams of Trinway, Eric (Sunkella) Adams of Newark, Matthew Jenkins of Trinway, James (Sharen) Locklear, of Savannah, Georgia, Robert Locklear of Columbus, granddaughters, Melissa (Brian) Williams of Dresden, Angie (Dave) Coen of Trinway, Mindy (Kirk) Jenkins of Nashport, Rebecca Sachs of Gahanna, great grandsons, Tyler Coen, Ethan Jenkins, Quentin Jenkins all of Trinway, Christian Sachs of Gahanna, great granddaughters, Hannah Jenkins of Nashport, Ashley Dingey of Trinway, Kelly Williams of Dresden, Kristen Williams of Dresden, Haley Wright of Nashport, Brianna Adams of Dresden, Jenna Adams of Dresden, Veronika Sachs of Gahanna and Kennedy Sachs of Gahanna; three step great grandchildren, Patricia Campbell and Andrew Wolford both of Dresden and Malcolm Johnson of Newark; two brothers, Arthur Adams of Trinway and Dwight Adams of Nashport; and two sisters, Mary Louise Steele of North Canton and Helen Mercer of Norwich.
