Clinton L. "Bud" Moss, 66, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Sunday, December 22, 2013 at his home.
Born July 17, 1947 in Zanesville, Ohio he was a son of the late Virgil D. and Mary Ellen (McFarland) Moss and was a 1965 graduate of Frazeysburg High School. Mr. Moss also received his Bachelor's degree from West Liberty University near Wheeling, West Virginia. He was owner of Moss Accounting and Tax Service of Frazeysburg. He recently retired from the trucking business that he and his parents operated for many years and was a member of the Owner-Operators Independent Drivers Association. Bud was Secretary-Treasurer of Tri-Valleys Schools for many years and was also a former clerk of Jackson Township. For over 40 years he assisted in the administration of the Frazeysburg-Nashport Youth League baseball program.
Mr. Moss was also very active in the Masonic orders and held plural membership in Frazeysburg Lodge # 490, F. & A. M. and Irville Lodge # 184, F. & A. M. and was a Past Master of both lodges. He was formerly the secretary of Frazeysburg Lodge and was currently secretary of Irville Lodge. His other Masonic memberships include; Past High Priest of Muskingum Chapter R. A. M.; Past Illustrious Master of Zanesville Council R. & S. M.; Past Commander of Zanesville Cyrene Commandery, Knights Templar; Ohio Priory No. 18 Knights of the York Cross of Honour; a member of the Ancient and Accepted Order of Scottish Rite, Valley of Cambridge; the Knights Masons of Dublin, Ireland #62; past president of the Ohio Secretaries Association and Muskingum Chapter #485, O. E. S.
His survivors include an aunt, Lois Robison of Frazeysburg; an uncle, Larry Hindel of Frazeysburg and several cousins.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Moss, who died in 1943.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home with Masonic services being conducted at 8pm
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Friday, December 27, 2013 at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
