Clay E. Cunningham, 50, of Dresden, Ohio passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 6, 2015 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville after an extended illness.
Born July 18, 1964 in Zanesville he is the son of Glenn E. and Ruth A. (Jamison) Cunningham of Dresden and was a 1982 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. Following high school he attended Ohio State University, Newark Campus. Clay was a 25 year employee of A. E. P. of Conesville. He loved the outdoors especially fishing, hunting and mudding. He was a die-hard fan of the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes. Clay had a tremendous sense of humor and he loved spending time with his many friends.
In addition to his parents he is lovingly survived by his daughter, Caylee Cunningham, who was the love of his life. Also surviving is his sister, Kelly Cunningham of Dresden.
Clay's family would like to give a very special thanks to Brian and the caring staff of the Critical Care Unit at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital.
Calling hours will be from 5pm to 8pm on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be at 8pm Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the funeral home with Mr. David Richards officiating.
