Clarice E. Adams, 93, of Trinway, Ohio died Friday morning, April 8, 2016 at Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville, Ohio.
Born March 2, 1923 in Madison Township of Muskingum County she was a daughter of the late Rollyn H. and Mary Ruth (Sarbaugh) Williams and was a 1941 graduate of Dresden Jefferson High School. Mrs. Adams retired with 28 years of service from Dresden Jefferson/Tri-Valley Schools where she was a custodian. She was a former member of Dresden United Methodist Church and was currently a member of Prospect United Methodist Church. For many years she was a volunteer at Bethesda Hospital.
Surviving are two sons, Neal Adams of Dresden and Dan (Mary) Adams of The Plains, Ohio; a daughter, Carolyn (Jim) Harley of Virginia Beach, Virginia; nine grandchildren, Kimberly Bookman, Teresa (Todd) Bell, Robert (Jamie) Adams, Gretchen (Eric) Adamski, Dustin (Kristi) Harley, Adelle (Daniel) Kresky, Amber Adams, Sharon (Jon) Bott and Isaac Adams; sixteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are two very special friends, Michal Stotts of Trinway and Paulette Standard of Texas.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Arthur L. Adams whom she married February 11, 1945 and who died October 12, 2008; a brother, Bryce Williams and two sisters, Audrey Harris and Carol Rugh.
The Adams family would like to give a very special thanks to Dr. Erin Remster and the nurses and staff of Morrison House for the loving care given to Clarice.
Calling hours will be from 10am to 11am Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the funeral home with Pastor Sharon Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
