Clarence E. McDonald, 73, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Monday, December 26, 2022 at his home.
Born November 25, 1949 in Newark, Ohio he was a son of the late Richard R. and Mary F. (Lanham) McDonald and he attended Licking Valley High School. He worked for many years at the Hanover Farmers Exchange and he retired from the Longaberger Company where he also worked for many years. He was a Christian by faith and often attended the Rocky Fork Church of Christ. Clarence was most certainly a "Ford" man. He was often heard saying "the fastest Chevy on the road was being pulled by a Ford". He loved old country music, old cars, especially Ford's, and watching "Bonanza", "Gunsmoke" and other old westerns on TV.
Surviving are his two children, Tammy (Doug) Paynter of Newark and Aaron (Carrie) McDonald of Coshocton, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Ryan Paynter, Zachary Paynter, Kylie Paynter, Cassandra McDonald, Schawn McDonald, Dalton McDonald, Gavin Greenwalt and Ravin Powell; three great grandchildren, Nash Paynter, Xavier and Elijah Wilson. Also surviving are five brothers, Michael McDonald, Roger McDonald, Richard McDonald, Tim McDonald and Ed Ray McDonald; two sisters, Sandy Klusty and Joyce Bayless, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of nearly 47 years, Susan R. (Lewis) McDonald whom he married September 25, 1971 and who died August 28, 2018; a brother, Robert McDonald and a sister, Beulah Sheppard.
There will be no calling hours for funeral services.
Clarence will be laid to rest beside his wife, Susan, in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
