FRAZEYSBURG ? A celebration of the life of Clarence F. ?Dutch? Caughenbaugh, 83, of Toboso, Ohio will be at 10:00am Thursday, December 11, 2008 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Cole and the Rev. Don Moshgat officiating. His final resting place will be in Poplar Fork Cemetery, Gratiot, Ohio. ?Dutch? died Sunday evening, December 7, 2008 at his home. Born October 24, 1925 in Brownsville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Forrest J. and Iva M. (Gutridge) Caughenbaugh and was a 1943 graduate of Hopewell High School. He was an employee of the Kaiser Aluminum Company of Heath, Ohio where he retired after 33 years of services. Dutch was a member of the Toboso United Methodist Church for 54 years and he had served the church as Trustee for many years. He was also a school bus driver for Licking Valley School District for seven years. He enjoyed wood crafting, sports officiating and get-togethers with his family and friends. Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Pauline (Lake) Caughenbaugh, whom he married June 1, 1945; four sons, Jackie (Stephanie) Caughenbaugh of Toboso, Dennis (Martha) Caughenbaugh of Plymouth, Ohio, Terry Caughenbaugh of Pataskala, Ohio and Mark (Lori) Caughenbaugh of Newark, Ohio. Also surviving is a son in-law, Charles (Connie) McKee of Toboso; eleven grandchildren, Heidi (Derek) Hopkins, Matthew (Kathy) Caughenbaugh, Kristina (Kevin) Gossett, Shanna (Chad) Shumaker, Emma Denise Caughenbaugh, Joshua (Angie) Caughenbaugh, Amanda Caughenbaugh, Cody Caughenbaugh, Kady Caughenbaugh, Kori Caughenbaugh and Colt Caughenbaugh; seven great grandchildren, Zackery, Grant and Regan Shumaker, Morgan and Christian Gossett, Mason Caughenbaugh and Kaden Caughenbaugh; a sister Rowena Barrett of Newport, Rhode Island; a brother Allen (Hazel) Caughenbaugh of Mt. Vernon, Ohio and a sister in-law, Nellie Weekly Caughenbaugh of Newark; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Randy Caughenbaugh; a daughter, Peggy Caughenbaugh McKee and two brothers, Bernard and Delbert Caughenbaugh. Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
