FRAZEYSBURG â?? Clara M. Tyson, 99, of Zanesville, Ohio, formerly of Coshocton, Ohio died Monday evening, October 25, 2010 at Emeritus at North Hills, in Zanesville.
Born May 6, 1911 in Madison Township of Muskingum County, she was the daughter of the late Ira W. and Ada E. (Gadd) Thomas. She was a 1928 graduate of Adamsville High School and attended Merideth Business College of Zanesville.
Mrs. Tyson attended the Frazeysburg United Methodist Church and the Dresden Senior Citizens She enjoyed quilting and made a new quilt every year for many years.
Surviving is one son and daughter in-law, Tom and Isabel Tyson of Frazeysburg; four grandchildren, Dru (Trenia) Tyson of Frazeysburg, Tara (Chris) Haynes of Illionois, Dr. Vicki (Gary) Shaver of Palm City, Florida and Pam (Mike) Sowers of Odessa, Florida; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Lillian St. Clair of Columbus, Ohio, a daughter in-law, Jeanne Tyson of Newark, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roland D. Tyson, whom she married January 19, 1934 and who died June 20, 1995; a son, Gary Tyson; a grandson, Mike Tyson and two brothers, Ray Thomas and Edwin Thomas.
Calling hours will be 5 to 7pm Thursday, October 28, 2010 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, October 29, 2010 at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Belt and the Rev. Robert Mesnard officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
