FRAZEYSBURG – Clara V. Simpson, 81, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Sunday morning, July 10, 2011 at Adams Lane Care Center, Zanesville, Ohio.
Born May 30, 1930 in Wakatomika, Ohio she was the daughter of the late William L. and Delilah M. (Biller) Thomas and was a homemaker. Mrs. Simpson enjoyed traveling, fishing and camping.
Surviving is one son, Bill (Joanie) Moran of Coshocton, Ohio; seven daughters, Sharon Thornton of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, Phyllis (Kenneth) Redman of Perryton, Ohio, Patsy Grimes of Newark, Rebecca Foster of Adams Mills, Polly (Doug) Bates of Zanesville, Sherry (Bobby) Baker of Warsaw and Peggy (Randy) King of Adamsville; two sisters, Patty (Herman) Simpson of Frazeysburg and Betty Holmes of Newark; twenty-two grandchildren; many great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and her little poodle, "Snoopy".
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin A. Simpson whom she married June 26, 1970 and who died January 3, 2006, a brother, William Thomas; a sister, Mildred Slaughter; three grandchildren, Michael, Bobby and Billie; and her former husband, Paul F. Moran.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
