DRESDEN – Clara Jane Newell, 63, of Zanesville, Ohio died Saturday morning, September 17, 2011 at her home.
Born February 17, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Barbara (Stotts) Untied and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of God.
Surviving is one son and daughter in-law, Richard and Linda Newell of Zanesville; three foster children, Jennifer, Alice and Austin Wise; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Burnett of Newark, Ohio and Orpha Tucker of Zanesville; a special friend, Gerald Ault of Zanesville and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Newell, Sr.; a son, Grover Newell, Jr. and a sister, Alice Untied.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 714 Main Street.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday, September 22, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prospect Church Cemetery.
